The Souveran 800 black and blue fountain pen features solid brass components in the mechanism, gold-plated double rings at the ink-handle and a decent gold-plated decorative ring in the front section. The Pelikan clip and all fittings are gold-plated. The large size representative plunger fountain pen features a piston-filled ink system and a large, hand-crafted, finely engraved 18 carat gold nib with rhodium decoration, available in extra fine, fine, medium or broad nib sizes.
